Contextualizing the Design

Jinha Beach, once bustling with activity, has gradually waned in popularity, prompting the need for innovative interventions to breathe new life into the area. The vision for MimMim Villa was not to create just another tourist destination but to offer a fresh perspective and experience that complements the natural beauty of the surrounding beaches.

Architectural Concept

Drawing inspiration from the nearby pine forest-covered island visible from Jinha Beach, the architects conceived MimMim Villa as a series of interconnected islands. Seven independent “islands” were strategically dispersed across the site, each providing unique views of the surrounding landscape.

Design Elements

The villa’s design revolves around simplicity and functionality. Each island is delineated by a square shape, with a 2-meter interspace forming a central swimming pool. Glass-enclosed indoor spaces within each island offer essential amenities such as bathrooms and utility facilities. A skylight atop the utility area allows natural light to filter into the space, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

Structural Innovation

The structural design of MimMim Villa embodies innovation and creativity. Utilizing a grid form as a structural principle, the architects achieved a sense of openness and fluidity within the enclosed spaces. Structural beams above the swimming pool cast dynamic shadows on the surrounding walls, adding visual interest and depth to the interior environment.

Harmonizing with Nature

Despite its modern design, MimMim Villa seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. The open layout and strategic placement of skylights allow for ample natural light and ventilation, fostering a connection to the outdoors while providing privacy and comfort for guests.

MimMim Villa serves as a beacon of contemporary hospitality, offering a harmonious blend of architectural ingenuity and natural beauty amidst the tranquil setting of Jinha Beach.
