Spanning five stories above ground and one below, KAGANHOTEL unfolds as a multifaceted sanctuary of creativity and hospitality. Each floor is meticulously curated to offer a distinct experience:
- 1F: Entrance hall, Gallery, Studio
- 2F: Hotel (Dormitory)
- 3F: Residence
- 4F: Hotel (Single bedrooms)
- 5F: Hotel (Double or triple bed rooms)
- B1F: Studio, Warehouse
Fusion of Art and Hospitality
At the heart of KAGANHOTEL lies a unique concept where art and accommodation intertwine seamlessly. The third floor houses resident artists who create captivating works in the basement studio. Guests have the opportunity to witness art in the making, purchase pieces directly from the artists, and even engage in hands-on experiences, fostering a deeper connection with the creative process.
Inspired Architectural Elements
Drawing inspiration from the vibrant wholesale market nearby, KAGANHOTEL’s design incorporates elements reminiscent of market stalls suspended in space. Utilizing a two-stage construction approach, the architects ingeniously hang boxes from the high ceilings, creating versatile spaces that can seamlessly transition from galleries to studios or cafes, fostering dynamic interactions between guests and artists.
Artistic Immersion
Each guest room on the fifth floor doubles as an “art space,” adorned in pristine white to accentuate the showcased artworks. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in contemplation or delight in the visual feast presented before them, envisioning how these artworks might enrich their daily lives beyond the confines of the hotel.
